The Fragrance Science and Advocacy Council (FSAC) operates to promote, advance, and protect the fragrance industry through advocacy at the federal and state levels. We provide science-based education and communication which conveys industry transparency and defends key fragrance topics of interest.
Our members comprise more than 70% of the fragrance market in North America and include the largest fragrance companies in the world, as well as consumer product company representation.
FSAC brings together fragrance innovators across the industry to support the development of science-based public policies that ensure the safety and compliance of fragrance and their ingredients for use in all categories.
FSAC provides its science and technical expertise to the fragrance industry and trade association partners, and when needed, retains lobbyists to examine legal issues at the state and federal levels. In both cases, the objective is to ensure that the safe use of fragrance ingredients is defended and protected. We develop appropriate strategies to address legislative and regulatory changes in the United States affecting fragrance and end products containing fragrance.
FSAC builds narratives to defend key fragrance topics of interest and to protect and promote the industry overall by using science and technical expertise to interpret and communicate fragrance issues and positions into a language that regulators and legislators can understand.
FSAC educates legislators, regulators, industry stakeholders and consumers at the scientific level by defending the safe use of fragrance ingredients and providing strong science and technical public policy support to advance the safe use of fragrances.
