On September 11, FSAC submitted a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the potential expansion of the Safer Choice and Design for the Environment (DfE) programs into new product categories. 

Fragrance is a critical component in many different product categories.  In general, FSAC is supportive of the expansion of these programs; however, it is important that expansion into any new product category takes the IFRA Standards into account.  With the application of IFRA Standards, consumers, the EPA, and all other stakeholders can be confident in the safe use of fragrances.
